Introduction

Even in Star Trek, they break the speed of light, the Enterprise flies with Warp 8 or higher, which means eight times the speed of light. Is this also in contemporary physics? Albert Einstein has established the axiom that nothing moves faster than light. Accordingly, for decades the existence of superluminal speed was only deprived of imagination and the Starship Enterprise.

About the speed of light and the absolute theory

How, then, goes to the absolute theory with superluminal velocities. There is the equivalence of space and time and the corresponding equation that v = c, then any speed is always equal to the speed of light. According to Einstein, it was assumed that particles that propagate with the speed of light in time stand still. But photons are standing still in time, or quarks, the source of all life, that's no good! For particles that began to move faster than light is thought that they run backwards in time.
